Our collaboration with local brand Smitten was perfect for Lumi Glo as cleansing is an integral part of a good skincare routine. It's so incredibly important as it deep cleans and gets rid of all of the excess dirt, makeup, and impurities you've encountered throughout the day. This will help to keep your skin clear, healthy, and radiant. Without cleansing, your skin will be more prone to breakouts, dehydration, and premature aging.
Why is washing your face so important?
1. Remove build up: we layer on sunscreen, makeup, we are exposed to pollution, bacteria and dirt and all this needs to be removed every night. You want fresh looking skin. Without washing your face your skincare products won't be able to penetrate into your skin.
2. Boost Hydration: regular cleansing allows the skin to maintain hydration. We love a balm cleanser for this. Cleansing helps manage PH levels of the skin; enabling sufficient water and product retention.
3. Maintain clean skin: Excessive dirt build up on the surface can cause blockages of the follicle, trapping sebum, sweat, and dead skin cells. The lack of sebum on the skin's surface allows bacteria to penetrate the follicle causing inflammation. You want to avoid acne and keep your skin squeaky clean.

The Smitten works perfectly with a cleanser or just warm water if you don't have any makeup on. They give a light surface daily exfoliation and can also be used to remove face masks, cleansers and exfoliators.
